Welcome,
family, friends, lovers and supporters to the official page of Jasmyn Fyffe.
This is the home of Jasmyn Fyffe Dance as well as Fyffe's many other concurrent projects.
Jasmyn Fyffe Dance produces it's own cutting edge work as well as commissions from local and international collaborators and choreographers.
Based in Toronto, ON, JFD is committed to pushing boundaries and creating a distinct and strong voice in the dance community and the arts community at large.
We are currently working on a number of projects for this Spring and Summer so get ready for a season to remember!!

Jasmyn Fyffe Dance was founded in 2007 by Jasmyn Fyffe. The company supports the creation and work of Jasmyn Fyffe as well as commissions from other local and international choreographers.  A choreographer described as “Alvin Ailey meets street dancer,” (Allan Ferguson – Director: Nelly Furtado Music Video), Jasmyn’s work is created within a movement style is an eclectic blend of her versatile training background while maintaining a strong contemporary foundation.  The critics say that Jasmyn and her dancers “bring just the right kind of athletic sensibility to choreography” Anya Wassenberg; (www.artandculturemaven.com).

The company has produced two concerts,The most recent titled  “Interlock,” a mixed program of six works, which was co-presented as a DanceWorks CoWorks Series Event in March 2012 at the Winchester Street Theatre. 
“Warfare”, a full length 70minute work, was also presented as a Danceworks Coworks Series event in 2010. 
In addition, they have performed in:  Dance Ontario DanceWeekend, Irie Music Dance Festival, Squigg Festival, Junction Arts Festival, The Science Center, Evolution of Gospel Music, Guelph Contemporary Dance Festival, The Rivoli, CUSO-VSO Dance for the World Benefit, An Open Door – Blue Ceiling Dance ProductionProject Dance Toronto, The Bazaar, Women in Dance, 60 by 60 Dance,  Choreographer’s Ball and Fresh Blood 2009 (The Chimera Project).
